Three Local Photography Clubs Do Battle 2012-11-23
by Cathryn Mantovani LRPS
Seaford, Lewes and Little Common went to battle last Friday night in a competition that involved both print and digital photography. The evening was hosted by Seaford Photographic Society and the judge, Steve Boyle ARPS, from Brighton and Hove Camera Club embarked on a hard task. Each club submitted 8 Projected Digital and 8 Printed images.
Little Common took an early lead in the first part of the evening. Their digital images were well above the others and with an average score of 18/20 they were leading with 144 points at half time. Lewes had 136 points and Seaford 142 points.
The second half was all about printed images. Seaford made a come-back with four of the eight prints scoring a maximum 20/20. It was a close run competition but in the end Seaford took the lead and the closing scores left Little Common in third place with 274 points and Lewes in second place with 283 points.
Seaford won the competition with 293 points and will host the same competition next year.
